Quiet strange sounding horn

Hi!

The horn on my C3 -74 sounds a bit strange and quiet...bad ground at the horn or could the relay be at fault?

Could just be you need a new horn, they do break and wear out.

What is the strange sound? Could be a weak ground.
When I got my car years ago the horn wasn't very loud and didn't sound right. I took it off and found a screw on the body of the horn. I messed around with that and got it a lot louder and the tone sounded right after playing with this screw.

Do you have one horn or two? If two and one goes out, it definitely sounds off

A dodgy ground means it won’t pass enough current, muting the sound, or as above, the horn might be dodgy. Try it across a battery, see if it sounds better, to rule out the horn itself.

If you have mud wasps they could just be plugged. Try spraying a cleaner up into the mouth of the horn and rap on it with a screw driver handle. Repeat until the crap stops falling out
