1969, fixed column
I would like to find a 13" dia, shallow or flat dish, direct fit (install kit features purpose)
I'm trying to get a little more room and arm reach. I am 6'2" and have a2' 10" reach. The ridiculously thin feel of the stock wheel is also difficult to grip.
. Thanks
Not exactly what you mentioned...but here's what I installed in my C2. I have a 6 point rollbar and getting in and out with racing gear on is easier with the D-shaped wheel. Prior to this I just had one of the smaller leather wrapped ones.
This wheel fit by utilizing the old wheel as a template and drilling the mounting holes. The original horn button even works.
C2 columns have some built in adjustment fore/aft to allow some room...but I took mine even further and shortened the shaft itself within the housing so I could get my arms stretched out straight like I prefer to drive.

Did it take much modification to get the 70mm Momo to fit the factory steering column, or was it a bolt on? I don't have tilt or tele on my 70 so every little bit I can get the wheel farther away from me the better.
Using any sort of adapter is going to take away any depth i gain from a shallow dish wheel. The stock wheel is about a 3 inch dish, I would really like to get anything from flat to 1.5 inch dish. The wheel diameter is going to have to be less than 14. I have heard of complaints about 14 inch flat wheels causing more problems because they get in the way of your legs when working the clutch. Ideally a new tilt tele column would be best, but that's a future project. For now a new wheel will help.
I got the 14" from Corvette Central in black leather and chrome.
It's a 2 1/2" dish, by my measurement.
Looks nice and is more comfortable to grip than the stock thin wheel.
Only downside for me is the added obstructed view of the gauges, Especially affects the speedo at the top of the dial.

Went with this wheel from Momo. Very shallow dish.
I wonder if any one makes a wheel with a very deep dish. I have my column at full telescope and find I wish it was still closer to me. That does make it feel uncomfortable after a while driving it and then getting into my Eagle which does not have telescope - makes it feel like its sooo far away. I'm hoping I can modify my Eagle to take a Corvette telescoping steering column.
'72 vert vette, bought in '95, I am 6'5" and 225 so not toooooo fat....early on, I found a later shark TT column to replace that bus driver wheel it came with......so the rebuilt column sat too far forward, even with a stock wheel, and I put a 3/4 inch spacer between firewall and the flange.....this all with stock steering......
years later got tired of the smaller dia. wheel rubbing on my legs.....so as part of a rack conversion, I cut the floorboard up to the column height on the firewall, and pried it forward some 3" or so, then glassed it all in....cut/welded/bent the brake/gas forward a similar amount....straightened out my legs off the wheel.....also dropped the seat about 2" in the rear....so I now drive in the James Dean slouch position with a pad on the console....snore......
