A former owner of my car repainted only 3/4 of it :nonod: and now
the rear deck (which is I presume original paint) is developing what looks
like water spots. I tried to compund them out, but no luck.
Can anyone recommend something that would restore the paint to
a semi-presentable appearance ?
Someone suggested wet sanding with 2000 grit sandpaper, but this
sounds really harsh.
Uh, wet sanding would be my advice too. Sounds like oxidation. If you wet sand and buff you may be able to restore the gloss for a short while. Usually once paint starts to "go" like this it's a progressive process that's near impossible to stop.
