anyone have 140 000$...

Now if I had $90,000 to put into my car  , that could be something :D !

"1968 Corvette 427/435hp L89 4Spd Car with only 6,708 original miles. In absolutely superb totally unrestored original condition. Original Owner. Have all documentation, including the original special order form. Has been kept in dry heated storage since new, never seen rain. The racing stripes were dealer installed at the time of purchase. Looking at it is like being in a showroom in 1968 (it even still smells new). The overall perfection of this vehicle is incredible. My poor quality photos do not do it justice! Was appraised by a well respected Corvette Appraiser in 1998. Copy and VIN is available for Serious Buyers. $140,000.00 US OBO."

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

So if anyone wants to buy it an load it on the trailer I wish him, or her, luck.
If I had that kind of $$$, I'd buy several nice cars thatI could drive, and build a garage to store them in.

Funny how their is no Bloomington Gold or NCRS Survivor awards on this "all original" low mileage car.
:nopity:
Who wants to look when you can drive the real thing. (famous honeymoon saying) :jester:

That being said, it has a lot of UNoriginal stuff (paint, valve covers, wheels, etc. and who knows what else). At 6000 miles, and 34 years old, it probably needs all new rubber everywhere, interior components, a brake job, radiator, and maybe a motor rebuild from sitting so long. Nice car, though. IMHO, it would make a great garage ornament or museum car.
For me, however, give me Merlin's vette, 1bad69's, or 69myway's. You can do a LOT of performance work for that $$$$. I wanna go FAST, not just look at it......
my 2c.

There are no imperfections on the body, and everything from the Engine compartment to the Red Leather Interior looks, feels, and smells brand new. Every document for the car is there, from the special order form to every service record, and it still has all the little tags (brown paper & wire) that it came with.
Mechanically it is in A1 condition. There are no problems from sitting. It gets fired and run once a week and receives regular servicing. Both on a very detailed schedule.
It has recently been documented by GM Canada, and in 1998 it was appraised by the C/S Auto Group for $150,000.00 US (Corvette Specialties/Barrett Jackson approved appraiser). Since then it has been driven less than 100 miles, and the market value has only gone up. The asking price is $140,000.00 US, but is negotiable, and I am 100% positive that any appraiser in the world that knows anything about Corvettes will tell you it is for real (and worth every penny.
The car is for sale because the owner has decided that after basically storing this one for it’s whole life, he would now like to have something that he can have some fun with. This car really deserves to be in a Museum or a Private Collection. Unfortunately there is no Bloomington, etc., because the car was basically never shown. Except once a year, it was driven to the local Corvette Club Show, where it wins first prize, then be driven home. I think this where about half of the 6,708 miles came from.
I am currently trying to get the owner to agree that if it hasn’t sold by January, to take it to the next Barrett Jackson auction. I believe that being able to see perfection in person might even bring the price up higher than what he is asking.

Doubtful, but I hope it stays in the lower mainland, because I would like to see it at it's next car show!
