Default New to the Forum and could use a little help.

New to the forum and trying to get a friend's 1982 Vette fixed. The engine temp.,oil temp and fuel gauge are all inop. The gauge fuse is OK. Does anyone have a wiring diagram. The two manuals I have are no help, Not enough detail. Thanks in advance for any advice. Dave

I had the same problem. I ended up putting all new gauges in. I wouldn't even waist time going through the wires. I did that with no success.
good luck.

Thanks, Since it is 35 years old that is probably the best fix.

FWIW: why buy gauges when what you have might be okay? The first thing to check is the printed circuit on the rear of the cluster.

Thanks, Just what I needed. I'll tear into it tonight and see what is wrong and decide on a fix from there. Dave

You will find the factory schematic at this link as well as other helpful diagrams.

Then there are other items on the tech page like this. You can search the tech page for all kinds of info at this link http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/p...t=1982&s=gauge

So far my setup does not match any diagrams I have seen. I have a volt meter, no clock, an oil temp gauge in the clocks position. Is this a limited edition Vette? Dave

No. It means the upgraded stereo was ordered which had a digital clock in it. An oil temp gauge was used to fill the clock spot in the cluster.

The schematic is the same for the cars with or without a clock, the difference was the pcb which didn't have the finger for jolting off it for the clock. On cars with the oil temp gauge it was the exact same just smooth instead of having that finger. I'm trying to have that pcb made right now....

This pcb is for cars with a clock.

This pcb would be for one without the clock and and with an oil temp gauge. (this is from our production Gerber file) We just don't have it done yet.
