Let's start with the block casting number off the rear driverside
and what are the engine code assembly numbers stamped into the passenger front pad?
Perhaps you have a production change block (pic would help).

There is no "M" casting month/date.

Found out it was called a "special" block that had new production changes to the block. As I
understand it, these blocks all started with an M but the next number had to be a 1 or a 3, the
next one or two number are suppose to be the production sequence of changes. Have no support
data only a friend at Chevrolet that gave me the information.
