70 Block Casting Date
Let's start with the block casting number off the rear driverside
and what are the engine code assembly numbers stamped into the passenger front pad?
Perhaps you have a production change block (pic would help).

understand it, these blocks all started with an M but the next number had to be a 1 or a 3, the
next one or two number are suppose to be the production sequence of changes. Have no support
data only a friend at Chevrolet that gave me the information.
