Default wiring

I recently pulled the carpeting on my 69 corvette and noticed couple of loose wires underneath, a single light blue and a single black wire with a small metal clip at the end, the blue wire seems to be running along side of the driver door with bunch of other colorful wires into the dash area and the black wire coming from inside the door jam, anyone having any idea as to what they are for would be greatly appreciated, I am electronically challenged and can never make any sense of those wiring diagrams.

Thanks

If you have power windows the black wire is a ground to the motor. Some 69's had that if not all of them.

Underneath where? A pic would help. You might be looking at door ajar wiring.

There is a light blue wire that goes to door ajar switch and another used for power seats. If your door ajar works (rear pin switch) not front courtesy light pin switch. It is probably for power seat option

Both black and blue are for the door ajar switch?, do they connect inside the jack compartment?

I think the wires should go to the passengers side switch

back then they ran the wiring before the car was decided to go with power accessories. that way if the car was ordered with power accessories the wiring was in palce and all the other stuff didn't have to come out. mass production back when quality mattered.

The door ajar switches have light blue between left and right switch. This light blue goes to the door ajar light. Black also runs between both left and right switches and goes to ground.
