Do we have a Bence13_33 section? We should!
I have been searching old topics on rebuilding my 427 and came across some of his posts on building his 454 from scratch. What a great bunch of threads outlining all of his trials and tribulations that he went through getting everything purchased and put together. Click the link below and you will see back almost a year almost from the start of his build. It is a shame that it is all getting so old that it will be gone permanently. It is pretty cool to see his engine going together pretty much every step of the way and at the end he posts a complete price list of its final cost. Just thought I would share if anybody is working on building a BB, there is a huge amount of information that will be gone very soon.

What's up with Bence13_33 anyway??? Haven't seen him around lately. Who else from days gone by haven't I seen lately......Jsimpson????? where did he go?????? Ganey?????? Who else, you name em', I'll remember em' then.

You're right Maurice. I saved most of his querries to disk and have used them as a resource. Lots of great info, opinions and arguements. :lol: Maybe he'll include them when he writes his memoirs. :lol:
He frequents a drag strip about 1 hr from me, I've been wanting to get up there all summer to see his beast but never had the time.

He is around, he posted in a tire wear thread earlier today. That is what got me thinking about his engine build threads.
So many people consider doing the big block install and his posts cover just about all of the issues that have to be taken into account. I think they should be archived out of the archives some how so they aren't lost in never never land

Well I'm glad that my trials and tribulations have helped some other people out. The knowledge that I gained from the members on this forum while doing the rebuild was priceless. You guys truely are the greatest.
