Default what can i do with my cam???????

This is the card for the cam I have in my 1976 L-48. It was in the car when I bought it and as far as I can tell everything else is stock (intake, carb, heads, exhaust, smog stuff, ect...) I’m planning on going with a true duel exhaust without cats and removing all of the smog stuff but I don't want to go too crazy with the performance so that it's still a cruiser. What I would like to know is what kind of horsepower can I get out of this cam and what else can I do (carb, intake, possibly heads, torque converter, ect...)any sugestions on what carb, intake, ect... i should get would be greatly appreciated. but keep in mind i would like to keep the original air cleaner and exhaust manifolds if possible!!!!!

sorry the pic sux, but so does my camera.
if you could take the time and go to www.cranecams.com and enter part number 113941 you'll get a much clearer pic of what i got for a cam

Photo not clear enough ... can't read card. Either retake-repost pic or type in the specs.

Who's Patty? :D

Use the card and go to Crane's website to get the rpm specs for the cam. That should give a pretty good idea of what the cam is capable of. Looks like it might be close to the L-82 cam specs.

With that cam i d run a small stall convertor 1800-2200 rpm headers 2 1/4 exuast, and possibly a new set of valve springs if there still the originals. With the right rear gear 3.55 or 3.70 it would be a nice little street car.Intake maybe a performer rpm would work nice.

E-mail your engine specs along with your cam # to crane, they might be able to give you a pretty good est.

Thats the Crane Power Max cam with a 110 LCA and about 2.5 degrees of advance ground into it. The more head, intake and carb the better it will run.

The common power range is on the cam card

A nice reliable little street cam

The new versions have a more intense lobe

I would say that you could make 300-325 hp with that cam and an Edelbrock Performer intake and headers. Your Q-jet should be fine. The stock manifolds are going to cork things a bit. A set of Vortec heads would really add a lot or you could save some money and port your existing heads. The ported stockers won't be as good but it would be cheaper. Keep in mind that you will need a vortec specific intake (there is a Performer vortec version) and rockers and valve covers. What is your budget? I don't think I would even bother with a different torque converter.

my budget is so far undetermined.
when i have a list of what i need and when i will do/have the work done i will have a better idea. but i figure somewhere between $2000 to $4000 can. would be about as far as i can go in the near futur(next summer). that's including exhaust work.
