I think that the turn signal lever on my C3 -74 is a bit sluggish (you have move it up/down with more "strength" than on other cars).
Are the levers all like this on the old C3:s or should I try to put some WD40 into the lever mechanism?
You want to lube the switch, not the lever. It is located inside the column, but part of it can be accessed through the hole where the lever is located. I would use lithium grease and not WD-40. Another place you can access the switch is by taking out the hazard light button (a small spring pops out when you remove the button). The hole in the steering column there is on the other side of the switch. Between those two access points, you should be able to get some grease on the switch.
