74 Power Window regulator rebuild kit
What am I missing? Just purchased a rebuild kit from Ecklers and the big rivet that holds the spring is not included. Is it possible to replace the gear teeth without replacing that rivet? I have to buy the rivet separately (and don't even see it on ecklers site). Must be missing something?

If you have what I believe the new piece with the teeth is intended to be attached (riveted) to the original. I presume regular pop rivets will work fine. The gear on the motor is still long enough to engage and it saves buying an entire regulator.

Well the answer is no, you cannot replace the gear teeth plate without removing that big center rivet that holds the spring. It is total BS that all vendors sell the rebuild kit without that rivet. You have to buy it separately. Going to give it a try, have a local vette shop that can help make sure I get it on right.
