Locating a CD Box?
Hey All,
You guys are far more familiar with the innards for a C3 Corvette than I am.
This weekend (likely) I will have a CD/ignition box to place. I am thinking of the glove box behind the seat. Can even put a nice fused, battery disconnect there; the battery being just next door. I like the access as well rather than trying to peer under the dash.
Anyone have some cool alternative suggestions?

It is 2018. Your entire CD collection can fit on a USB stick. I've been happy with a simple Bluetooth speaker tied into my phone and Amazon music for longer road trips, no music, CD, radio, or otherwise in either of my current vehicles. (My wife's cars can play USB stick music, or phone bluetooth). I'd consider a bluetooth/USB amplifier in the center rear next to the battery, but I wouldn't want to add heat-sensitive moving parts to my car. Or do you mean something else?

Oops - sorry, CD as in Capacitive Discharge... an ignition box.
I threw out all my CDs a couple of years ago

Funny - I had completely forgotten about those CD changers.

In that case, give MSD a call. There is likely a max distance, which they should know. I cant even speculate. If by the battery is too far of a run, perhaps behind the center gauges, unless you need the defroster.

I put mine in behind the fender grate. small bracket that bolts to the body mount. Also added the capacitor for the extended run length to the battery
Inside room is pretty dear so I don't use it unless I have to

Cool ! Trying to visualize in my mind where that is (and failing). I'll check that out.

Behind the egg crate grill (easy on the 70-72 since you can remove the grill and work from the outside

My Mallory CD has a high pitched sound and I originally had it in the passenger compartment behind the dash. I ended up moving it to the same place shown above on my 1969 but attached it to the inner wheel well.

Mine is attached to some metal frame pieces up under the front bumper - 78 'vette. You can extend the wires but need to use one gauge size higher when extending. I can't remember if I needed to extend or not. Frankly, access isn't really all that important and it's pretty easy to get to anyway.
I think I took the center piece of the Pace Car spoiler out of the way to help with getting the drill lined up.
