Does anyone have a C3 with modified interior(racing seats, new shift ****, nice new sound system)? If so, what are some of the mods you have added to your vette.
When I said "new shift ****," I didn't mean the kind people put on their souped up honda civics, I meant a nice vintage one, to keep the vette's classic style but at the same time make it look new and restored.

2 JL audio 6x9's powered by a fostage 150s amp and a kicker solo-baric 12" L7 powered by a kicker kx600.1 600 watt mono sub amp in a 2.5 cu ft. ported box with a sony cdx-m600 head unit (no pic)
Re: Vette sound systems and interior (prehistoric)
actually what i am going to do is take out the old POS speakers, and put in some new ones taken from a stereo i have in the house. pretty much it will be a bubba-rig but nonetheless it will sounds better. the speakers previously aren't in very good shape. they sound like.... :U :U :U
Re: Vette sound systems and interior (prehistoric)
I have done "few" interior mods during my body off rebuild. I have sparco's racing seats, sparco racing pedals, sparco alloy shift ****, Sparco 4-point harness. All the cauge clusters, center console etc are made out of billet aluminum. I'm still thinking about getting new steering wheel. I'll give some more thought to the sound system when I have the car finished. Maybe DVD, 5" screen etc...
Thanks. I may be making some changes to it. If you really like to play it loud (like I do with the tops off on the highway) the 4 x 6 speakers just don't hack it. I've adjusted the crossover between the sub and the fronts so it's acceptable but I tend to keep bottoming out the front speakers. I'm going to be looking for a set of box speakers, like Kickers to handle the midrange. I'll probably mount them in the back behind the seat belt anchors. This will let me feed the highs to the front, the mids to the rear and the lows to the sub. If it works I'll post pics and update the site. If you don't play your music loud the setup I have works just fine and sounds pretty good. But there's just something about hearing Stevie Ray Vaughn playin' VooDoo Child at full cry while your blasting down the highway that makes improvements worth looking into. :D
