Different Edelbrock Air Gap
SBC usually pop the head gasket on the rear cyls, something to look into.
The 92-96 LT1 heads use a pipe on the rear of ea cyl head has to be a reason.
Toyed with the idea of the lines from front to rear on the intake, but was that really enough or a me too thing?

Edit: LT1/4 gen II SBC has the rear of the heads connected then a pipe running to the radiator. Its a 'steam pipe' to eliminate dead areas of flow. I'd guess on a gen I a left right pipe would help to balance flow to each bank.
