Headlamp Retaining cup

I am installing my headlamp assemblies back into my 1970 roadster and noticed that they have a letter stamped on the retainer cup. Did not notice this when I removed them, is there an order for their placement? like A in low beam driver or passenger, B high beam, etc. A and B are the same pattern and C and D are the same pattern but different from A and B. Anyone help ? Thanks

Looking at the front of the car the order is C B D A from left to right
