Identifying replaced distributor coil?

Identifying replaced distributor coil?
I've removed the stock distributor from my 79 L82. My dad swears that he had a "Hot Coil" put into the distributor in 1980... I'd love to be able to figure out exactly what it is; can anyone help guide me as to exactly what I'm looking for?
(Just remove the cap and look for some PN's on the coil itself and start googling them?)

Typically an aftermarket coil will have the manufacturers name on it.
