Default 69 Interior Replacement

I am thinking of changing out a very worn 69 interior and ordering new pieces from one of the online vendors. I have read on the forum about fitment issues. Would appreciate any comments on changing out complete dash, door panels, quarter panels and console. Would like to know the issues before I begin the process.

Thanks,
Jim

Most of the vendors all sell the same stuff that comes from Corvette America. I bought most of the stuff, and sent a lot of it back. Mine is a coupe, the rear sail panels were not even close to fitting right, sent them back. Right hand side dash pad does not fit up under the dash pad correctly. I kept it and lived with it but...I'll probably get an original one and dye it.

Here is what I bought new and kept:

Upper dash (fit good)
console and e brake cover (fit good)
Door panels (fit OK, not great but not bad)

Pretty much all of the other stuff (kick panels, rear window surround panels, roof/ T panel, LH side dash) I kept my original stuff and re-dyed it all.

Honestly, I would try to re-dye as much as you can, unless its just really bad, because it will fit better then the repro stuff.

Based on past threads, getting a good door panel fit seems to be the biggest complaint.

Unfortunately, a lot of what I have is damaged beyond repair. I appreciate the comments, this is exactly the type of feed back I am looking for. I hope other chime in on what has worked.

Thanks,
Jim

I did not have a problem with door panels on mine. With dash panels, they will fit easier if you use a heat gun to slightly soften them......warm them up and fit them into place, all of them - left, right, and upper. It was easier to fit them together as a unit.
