Is there different size pulleys for the fan depending on the HP of the 350's? I have a K and rebuilt the motor, more HP but now getting hot when sitting at a light.
I don't believe so. Should all be the same size. Your overheating issue at idle is something else. GM water pumps do a wonderful job of keeping up. A plain Jane pump pulley off a 170 horse will handle 500 horse easily.
Overheating at idle: is a air circulation issue.
Overheating at speed: is a water circulation issue.
Sometimes its the simplest things that cause problems. When was the last time the outside of the radiator was force cleaned backwards with compressed air? Are all the foam rubber seals in place? Clutch fan operating correctly? Ign Timing set too late?

I have brand new radiator and will be adding a SPAL fan on the inside to suplement the pulley fan. I kind of knew it was a air problem just didn't know if they used a smaller pulley on the higher HP engines to get the fan to turn faster. Thanks for the info!
