Hey Rick, I would think it is okay for short trips just make sure the brake fluid stays topped off.
How do you like your new car? I just started working again up here at Ft. Lee. Car is running good. Just got a new MSD Distributor and control box. Hope everything is going well with you and the family. Take care.

no, imo it is not safe.
my right front leaks every few years; i just clean it and put on new matching pads the same day i discover the leak.
once i caught it before it got on the pads and re-used them.
Of course if the seals are real old......
sometimes a speck of dirt will make it leak.
or lots of specks. i think my RF, while SS sleeved, is not to spec., making it leak with a little dirt, while the others don't.
Get it fixed, don't wait too long, If it leaks enough to fling out and onto the car, you are looking at a new paint job
Mine took the clear coat off the rim but didn't make it to the body however a guy in my club picked a car up in the middle of the country and didn't know his front passenger side was leaking. By the time he made it home the whole side was destroyed :mad
Lesson learned
