before you go too far down the path of shimming, please make sure your engine mounts are good and properly hooked up. Easiest way to check is to put a piece of stout wood under the oil pan and gently raise it. If the car lifts, you’re good. If the motor separates from the frame, you found your problem. Easy fix too.
Thanks for that info CA-Legal-Vette I will do that first thing tomorrow after work

Find a Frame shop that also does alignments. Ask the owner if he has done a 4 wheel alignment on a C3. If he ask C3 what, try the next shop. Or luck out like I did and find one that loves Corvettes.

Default New corvette owner updates and question

left

right
So I have been working on my Corvette after work when ever I can.And every thing seems fine so far.Solved the power steering pump problem with shimming and a shorter belt.
Pulled the radiator and had it checked out and pressure checked and reinstalled it.A ok on that.
Put new control arm bushings on the driver side and solved the pulling to the left.Still need alignment.
Installed a new hood latch cable and fixed the annoying problem.
still working on the wiper switch that wont stop working until (it) wants to.

But my next bigger question is.The rear mono leaf spring on the driver side has a stack of washers about 3inch high. The passenger side only has 2. Im thinking its because the spring it week?
Be great to hear all your thoughts on this.Looking at monospacing kit from Ecklers and wondering if they ar any good.Or should I just stay with a stock spring?
