Default Steering Valve Leak

The power steering valve on my restored 69 is leaking from the top. Any suggestions on what it might be or how to fix it? The hoses and fittings are fine.

There's a boot on the top,you can try to repair or replace it your self,or replace the whole control valve . Welcome to the forum you will find a wealth of information here.I'm sure some one will chime in here with more detailed info for you soon.

sounds like the inner seals are used up. The outer seal is just a dust boot. Easy fix to just buy a rebuilt one.

If you're ambitious, you can pick up a control valve rebuild kit or purchase the entire unit. The rebuild kit has O rings, springs and I believe the boot. If the boot is gone...crap can get inside and its best to remove, clean and rebuild. If we can help...let us know
