As the trailing arm moves up and down it's travelling in an arc front to back as well as outward and inward slightly so the strut will be twisted depending on where the trailing arm is in it's travel
Arm down the strut bracket is more forward and in a little
Arm in the middle the bracket is back a little and out a little
Arm is up and the bracket moves forward and in a little again
Push the strut where it needs to go, I usually do the trailing arm end first then the center
