1968 Wheels and tire
I've been looking at 17" American Racking Torq Thrust II's
The issue is tires, There does not seem to be a lot of options on 17" tire options.
There are many more 18s. As the world goes toward bigger wheels, we are loosing options on smaller sizes.
For a stock 68 what is the best 18" wheel/tire combo?
I really like the look of slightly larger rear tires
Will the 18's look too "hot wheels" ?
These cars were not designed for ultra low profile tires and look good with good/'l big fat beefy rubber.
I do not want to deal with rubbing issues, I can relocate brake bracket if required.
What do the wizards of C3s think? ?
Thanks
Tom

Wheels: Foose Knuckle Gun Metal Gray
Tires: Firestone Firehawk Indy 500
Front: 18x8 4.5" backspace wheels with 245/45x18 tires
Back: 18x9.5 with 5.25" backspace with 275/40x18 tires
I used a 1/4" spacer in the back to clear my oversized anti-sway bar. No spacer in front. I DID have to cut off and relocate the parking brake mount.
Here are a few angles for you to see.
