Default Epoxy resin or polyester resin?

There seems to be conflicting ideas for repair work on C3’s. Please chime in with your experiences.

Please list the year of your vette. My 80 requires epoxy based due to the SMC type material.

Early cars used polyester resin; later cars are SMC. A bonding compound or repair materials compatible with both types of fiberglass will work.

We’re working on a 1970. I just read about the history of corvette body materials, and they changed to smc in ‘73. So polyester would be the correct resin for that year
