Door Hinge Replacement - How Hard?
I have a severely worn left upper door hinge. I considered putting pins and bushings in the old hinges. I had previously purchased some refurbished hinges from a forum member. I got my service manual out and read the procedure. It doesn't look fun. But I believe in this case I would rather change the upper and lower hinges out with the purchased rebuilt hinges.

Changing just the bushings and maybe the pins is way easier than removing the whole hinge unit.
hardest part is making a support to hold the door while getting the pins up and out.
some cars will have interference with the body when pulling the top hinge pin up. I was lucky that someone had done it before me and ground just an edge of the flange so it would clear the body.
The bushes are a wear item so it's easy to push them out once you get the pins away.
Just be careful when closing the door for the first time with the rebuilt pins, it can be out of alignment .

well you are going to have to reach the bolts on the inside. I don't know if you are in the restoration phase and the dash is out or in. A lot of alignment dynamics will also be in play. All doable but a whole lot easier with no dash. You need witness marks on the bolts showing where they are before you start. Remove the door first leaving hinge on the body also.

You have a lift? I hung my doors from my lift while I replaced the hinges. I then used the lift to help hold the doors while I tried different adjustments until they fit the way I wanted them to.

Replacing pins and bushings is pretty easy. I did my doors in about 5 hours total and I had no clue what I was doing outside of watching a couple YouTube videos. I'd be scared to do the entire hinge. YMMV

Nice jack!
I ordered a door dolly today. The kind that fits on a jack
I have the pins and bushings. I have the refurbished hinges also.
I'm going to pull the door of and get a look at the hinges first. If I can keep from changing the hinges that would great.
