Default Big block starter?

Need a starter for 454.i have been looking at mini starters.prices seem reasonable.i am running long tube headers.they only show 2 posts.one for battery and start.my harness has one for relay also.are they better or should I stay oem?not a numbers matching car

R is resistor-actually lack thereof-for hotter spark when cranking starter. Bypasses the resistor that keeps points from burning up. Unnecessary with HEI or any other electronic ignition. If you are running a points distributor it is not really necessary but a big help.

I got mine from DB Electric. PMGR GM Style starter. Spins my 496 no problem. And for $60, can't beat it. If it dies, I'll get another one.
And it does have the post for the resistor bypass.
