The vette owner wants to trade his vette and 3500 for the guys 56 nomad......I told him keep looking, there are plenty of vettes out there.
Thanks for any help
There was a beige over bronze factory two-tone paint scheme in 1981, but all 1980's were single-color. At least that's what the Black Book says. So it couldn't be a factory paint job.
9700 is alot for an '80 with "custom" paint, shot interior and a whiny rear. I would bet the brakes have one foot in the grave, the suspension bushings are powdered rubber and the cat is clogged. If it was a 4-speed car and the Nomad guy likes working on cars, it might be worth $6k-$8k, depending on the mechanical condition - you know the stuff I mean. Ragged-out '80 Vettes with auto transmissions are too easy to find with decent factory paint, to spend nearly $10K on one with goofy paint... Hey, just MHO. I think your advice to your friend is right on.
