Hello, recently needed to replace my left rear caliper, so I purchased one from Ecklers-Corvette part #106185 (O-ring SS sleeved caliper). Was told by the tech that it would be a Delco Morraine replacement with same casting info and an authentic remanufactured Delco Morraine caliper. What I received is a knock-off; Legacy Brand with no castings or numbers.
Just a laser etched number on the top of caliper. Should I be concerned? It seems ok. I have not installed yet, was going to contact Ecklers. Any one out there have a similar issue?
If you did not receive what their tech said you would, I would be concerned and send it back (after calling them to tell them why and requesting the correct part))

I would return the unit period. This is the only way these companies will stop supplying cheaper junk parts. Make it costly for the vendors to mislead the customer and carry cheap parts to support there bottom line.
As for "authentic remanufactured Delco Morraine caliper" they may be no better. Here is my pile of failed calipers all with-in 1-3 years of use. I have now switched all 4 to wilwood brand. Not 1 failure in the past 3 years and have stood up to track days as well.
Wildwood are the only way to go. You will not get a reman that is worth a damn. People love to stick to original but why when a new age has produced something that performs better. With brakes I get new just because. It's to much to gamble if a brake calipers fails
