I use to run my at the "street" drags (i.e. only DOT tires allowed) on our weeknight drags. Good times and was sponsored by the local police to help reduce street racing. Track prep wasn't much, but I was able to run fairly constant runs at 12.8x and 107-108 mph. However, for quite a few years now I have drifted over to doing more open track days at a local road course for my speed thrills . Not competitive like drag racing, but I get about 2 hours of run time per day.
