I remember sometime back someone asked if anyone knew of a source to get specialized emblems created. I never did see the outcome of that query. I'm interested in getting some ZZ4 emblems created to mount on the hood of my car (whenever I finally buy a L-88 hood) in basically the same position of LT-1 emblems or L-82 emblems.
Anyone know a source for custom emblems?

Re: Source for custom ZZ4 Emblems??? (Cookwithvette)
Desert was right, I did see the post.
I have been looking for some for quite a while now, and no one is currently making them. Sallee Chevrolet, where I bought my motor, was saying on their chat forum that they were looking into it, but then backed out of it.
All I can say is, whoever makes these things will sell a ton of them if they can advertise that they are out there. For that reason, I have been thinking of trying to find a local tool and die company to help me make some, but have not had the time to do so. So, it's still first come first serve on the manufacture of them.
I too would like to see some photo's of what's out there.

I hope I don,t get my butt in a sling about vendors
They're red anodized, but the "connection points" of the lettering hasn't been painted yet, George wanted to do that...I'm curious about how they'll look finished myself!
BTW, "bfh" stands for "buick from hell", I'm a "hotair tech" moderator on turbobuick.com, and I've been selling dress-up stuff for the TR's for about 3 years now. Check my website, it's in my signature! If I ever find time, I may work in some Corvette stuff in the future! In the meantime, I can make emblems!

Re: Source for custom ZZ4 Emblems??? (Smokehouse69)
I don't know if it'll help but I came up with a set off of the rear deck of a Z-34 Monte Carlo.
Of course you will have to find several wrecked cars to get all of the characters necessary, but they are pretty nice looking.
I'm going to use a set from a new style Nissan Altima. I know it says 2.5 on the rear deck, but they sure do look like a Z to me. I have the 385 Fastburn and to me it should be called the ZZ-5 so I figure each car I find wrecked will have at least a Z and a 5 on it. When I get the four Z's and two 5's I was going to have them anodized black to go on my white '80 fendersides like the L-82 emblems were. :seeya JIM
BSeery that is very  lets know what the price is for those, and maybe a part number if you can find out what it is.
Somebody asked about 383 emblems, I think Stingy got some from Mopar that look really good.

I've been looking at various cars with 383 emblems on them, so far every one looks too short, they all seem to be about 3/4 inch tall at most. The 71 Super Bee hood emblems and some El Camino emblems look nice, still not tall enough. For the L-88 hood I think about 1 1/2 inch tall would work nicely. I emailed Kevin about some, will keep you all posted.

Ghostrider sent me a picture of his home made ZZ4 emblems and asked me to post it for him. I couldn't get to the forum home pages to upload it so I'm trying to post it from yahoo photos, so I don't know if it is going to work or not. He made them out of aluminum tape and cut them out with an xacto knife, they look pretty good, for hand made.
