Does anyone have some pictures to share of the pipe connecting longtube header flanges and intermediate pipes, this have to be custom built? 2 1/2" exhaust, 4speed, 350, -69.
Hakan
Mine looks similar to the above pics, also. You have to custom the pipes or get an exhaust shop to do it. I shaped some flex pipe into shape for the pattern and had the local Tuffy Muffler make the pipes.
Hopr this helps. I can take a different view if needed but this is what I had already. Let me know. BTW this is a 327 but should be the same as a 350.
Thanks for the picture, your pipes seems to be closer to the gearbox than mine. I think I will redesign and use 45 degree pipes instead of 30 to avoid contact with the body. The body is at the paint shop so I can’t check.

Yes I was also concerned. My main concern was heat. I decided to have the entire exhaust ceramic coated inside and out. This should knock down the heat concern. Not much esle I can do.
Lord M ... mine are also custom. Various header flanges end at various places near the firewall, so yours will probably need to be similar but different than anyone else's:
