Nice car, what is it?
Here's a list of various after market manifold heights. But I would guess a stock L-82 Corvette manifold is lower than any of these. I have one off the car that I can measure, just tell me what dimension you need. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/dual...d-comparisons/

They aren't like big blocks. You can find big block intakes with the carb flange level with and slightly below the intake ports on the heads. I guess the narrower intake width makes a couple inch rise necessary to avoid a really restrictive intake path. I looked at the used on ones on eBay. None are flat like 454 truck intakes. Nice leetle ride. Half XKE, half Cobra? Looks a bit like a D type Jag. Looks like you would want a higher scoop to act as a windshield...
RodsO... find out what the CARB PAD HEIGHT of your current manifold is, and then research to find something shorter. Under my stock 70 Corvette hood I was looking for an aftermarket dual plane with plenty of clearance and chose a Weiand Street Warrior 8125 specifically for that reason... a 3.65" carb height. Might work well for you.
check this out and see the carb height specs on "short Manifolds":
To the O.P. Some other things to consider when selecting an intake for clearance:
Will a insulating carb spacer need to be used? Some are over 0.250 thick.
Is the wing nut way above the air cleaner lid?
Can you incorporate a shorter filter cartridge without issues? I have found 2.5" 2.6" 2.8" high in place of the 3".
It may be possible that SOME folk could use an OFFSET BASE air cleaner to help fit under hood.
There are dozens available and with varying amount of drop. They're commonplace in local-regional stockcars with fabbed bodies. Here's just one example. Pic speaks volumes about how it might work for you.
