It obviously needs to be replaced but, what is it? Can I replace just the seal or is there a whole assembly that will need to be done? And how urgently does it need to be done?

Appears to be the power steering cylinder to mount bushings. I’m not sure that I would consider it urgent as there a likely to be other steering parts in need of replacement as well.

I believe that Energy Suspension also makes those bushings, but in polyurethane.

Yes sir,
that is correct, I just ordered the poly set from one of the forum vendors for my complete front end rebuild I’m currently working on.

yes, there will be other things in that steering the need to be done but when that bushing is shot you got several inches of steering wheel play. I would change those right off.
