Lars Timing Recurve Kit?
It could have been the worm in the bottom of the bottle making me have hallucinations, but...
Lars' timing paper is some pretty amazing info! And I could swear I've heard of a Lars Timing Recurve Kit -- or is this just the stuff of fantasy? :confused:

Lars indeed is well known for his knowledge and support of this forum. The last time I contacted him about getting a curve kit he said he no longer makes them, but maybe he started again?

Well I added the Lars Recurve kit to my Corvette last winter and I have to tell you that the instructions were the best I may have ever read. You can tell that someone who has done the job before actually sat down and wrote the instructions. Parts all fit perfectly and the whole tranaction with Lars was very easy and was delivered as promised. By the way, I think he's located in Colorado somewhere. And my god the performance change was so easy to see. It really woke my 'Vette up too. Really hope you get to chat with him on here. He's a great guy to chat with about this stuff. He knows it and also I think he enjoys sharing the info about it. Just send hima private message and I tell you, he will get back to you. Good luck.

I got good results by simply changing to a light set of springs and setting my timing per lars' instructions so that it all came in by 2500 rpm. The springs came in a Mr Gasket recurve kit. It included an extra set of weights that didnt fit but I didnt really need the weights. It also included a little bushing which I didnt install. It had 3 sets of springs of different tension...... so basically, I paid the price of the recurve kit for one tiny little set of springs! :lol: But it was only about $11 and it made a noticeable difference. It is probably a pain in the butt for lars to assemble his kits for us, but I bet he could tell you the components and where to find them. MJ
