Been digging through the forum and trying to determine if this specific T5 will work for a 1981 Corvette. My best guess is that with the casing numbers it's a WC T5 with gear driven speedo. Has torx bolt. Cannot tell if it has Temken Stamped on the counter shaft cover

I would typically do more research, but I'm passing through where it's listed for sale and it's a ways from home. Any input would be greatly appreciated, even if it's a link to an answer that I didn't find on the form.
I believe that is a GM v6 T5. Bolt pattern is wrong, do you have to buy an adapter to fit it to a Chevy bellhousing. Even though it's a GM trans it's a Ford pattern on the front. Gear ratios are wrong. Way wrong. does the tag boulders on the one of the bolts that attaches the tail housing to the transmission case. 13 space 56 and then the next three digits that's what I'll tell us what the transmission really is. But it's a GM v-6 with a too deep first gear so it ain't going to work very well.
ok, those are the answers I was looking for. The guy doesn't have the info tag and the only info I had was the pictures with the casing number. Such a shame... really good price on this T5, but I'll let it pass and use the above information going forward to get a good T5.
