red spark plug wires HEI
Hey everyone
I want to replace my spark plug wires with nice red ones , and route them from above my longtube headers.
I've got a 77 so I think it's HEI style, or doesn't that really mather for spark plugs?
What are good replacements? I'm from Europe.
Not to expensive... I'm not a racer, just a street driver...

It is important to get the right end on the wires that connects to the distributor cap. They sell wires for your car at Summit racing, $85 for 8.5 mm MSD Super Conductor wires in Red. $32 for Summit Brand 8 mm wires in Red.
I have used MSD "Super Conductor" wires on my C3 since I bought it in 1991. My C3 is a 1968 L-71 with the 427 but with the long tube headers. The headers can melt the spark plug sockets if they make contact so be sure to buy a spark plug loom which will allow you to route the wires easily.
Good Luck and have a Very Merry Christmas!

Correct. I make my own wires, and have two expensive crimpers. You cannot do decent wires without the correct tool.

As long as we're on wires....

Kettering works best on wire, but you get lots of EMI and RFI .
HEI/ electronic likes a resistance wire on the secondary side. Mike would know better why.
