seat tracks
Hi I have a 1978 corvette and I am putting in a set of clamshell seats from a 79-82 corvette. Will the 79-82 manual seat tracks just bolt into my car and will the height be correct? Is there more than one type of manual seat tracks for 79-82 corvettes thank you for the help.

I would think that would work, can't say for sure. If it doesn't perhaps transplant the tracks from original over to the "new" seats. Or maybe have to do a little welding, and/or hole drilling with new tracks. I doubt seriously that the width between the holes laterally has changed.

If I remember right the tracks are : from 68 -71, 72-73, 74, 75, 76-78, 79-82. The difference is in the floor rear hole location.
I do know that the later seats do not bolt in to the chrome bumper cars. The rear holes are way off.
My friends 70 car had 78 seats, the rear bolts were not installed. . We got a set of 71 tracks and they bolted on with no issues.
