Caliper Rebuild/Return Service?
I'm curious who others here might have used to rebuild their original calipers? Cardone? BBB? or ??? and if you were satisfied with the results.
My '65 still has it's 4 original Delco Moraine calipers and I would like to send them in for coating, sleeving and O/H and get these 4 returned to me.
I am not interested in any after-market calipers.
Appreciate any input.

I have purchased products from lone star (rebuild calipers) they all leaked after 1-3 years ? Now this was items purchased with-in the past 5 years.

Burning Brakes
Check out Stainless Steel Brake Corp. in Clarence, N.Y. I had my front calipers done there some years ago, and they're still holding up fine. I later picked up 2 rebuilt calipers for the rear. They were S.S. sleeved and came from Muskegon Brakes in Michigan? They are still doing well with no leaks. When I do this again, I will rebuild the sleeved calipers that I have and not worry about losing my originals somewhere along the line. Rebuilding a caliper with new pistons and seals is one of the easiest things you can do on your car. Good luck.

Not sure if Muskegon brake will sleeve and return your calipers but I know that Lone Star does. Surprised at the bad feedback above. I’ve never had issues with their parts or service. Not with Muskegon Brake either.

I don't have a lot of miles on either, but I got a set of rebuilt Delco Moraines from Lonestar via Zip for my wife's 79. They work great so far, the only issue was a loose hose fitting, which was my own fault. On my 80, I rebuilt a set of Delco Moraines (already SS sleeved) using a high-temp O-ring kit from CSSB Inc. I wouldn't hesitate to send my original calipers to CSSB to rebuild if that is an option, but I found rebuilding them myself to be very rewarding.
If the calipers are failing quickly, especially o-ring calipers, make sure that the rotor runout is in spec (nearly zero). DUB and GTR1999 have posted instructions on how to do this properly.
Delco calipers, rebuilt with CSSB kit, painted with G2 epoxy (they cured much smoother than appears in this photo, and those are the old fittings being used as plugs that have paint on them)
