I'll leave it as an exercise for the forum folks to point out what doesn't match between reality and the car as described. The only comment I have is for the reply I got when I asked for the numbers off the engine. You know the numbers, the ones that were mentioned throughout the ad as "all numbers are matching". When I asked the seller to provide the numbers, that they so carefully verified before posting the ad, here's the reply I got:
boy are you picky! So the steering wheel is not original, so the Stingray badge and gill inserts are 69 style.... picky picky.... so what if the automatic trans was not available with the 327/350?? And the "5" he listed in the vin is the letter "S". MJ
So the prize goes to Mr Jackson!!! Please select your choice of the huge blow-up crayon or the stuffed Tweety-Bird (can you tell I just took my daughter to the state fair? :D ). All original 327/350 with an auto tranny. Sorry there Bubba, no such beast.
Wait a minute, the seller is in Brooklyn. Is anyone named Bubba allowed to live in Brooklyn, or does he have to change his name to Guido? :D
Sorry guys you is wrong, wrong, wrong. :D The 68 SB was a 327, 69 was the first year for the 350 in a Corvette. In 1968, the engine options were for various models of 427 and 327.
Don't feel too bad, I was wrong at least one time myself.
In addition to the others' comments ... how about "100% original" 68 with a cassette? I don't think so. Just a hunch ... this one should be closely inspected for rust, VIN, authenticity & major collision history.
DONT YOU JUST LOVE EBAY LISTINGS THAT SHOUT AT YOU WITH BAD GRAMER POOR SPELLING AND RUN ON SENTANCES WITH, MISSING OR INAPPROPRIATE PUNCTUATION AND CHANGING THE SUBJECT LIKE TAHT? DON'T YOU JUST WISH YOU COULD ACTUALLY TALK FACE TO FACE WITH THE GUY SO YOU COULD SAY "SHUT UP A-HOLE, AND STOP YELLING AT ME AND WHILE YOUR AT IT LEARN HOW TO SPELL OR AT LEAST THE EASY WORDS AND FIGURE OUT WHAT PERIODS AND COMMAS ARE FOR AND WHEN ONE THOUGHT ENDS AND ANOTHER BEGINS THOSE ARE TWO DIFFERENT SENTENCES!"
I agree with the overpriced comment. Given the inaccuracies of the description, etc. you know the car is a rag.
$13K and 6 days left-what a joke! My guess is the car will need a fair amount of change spent on it just to make roadworthy. But who knows without seeing it.
I just know I would not spend $13K for a small block with questionable authenticity that probably needs a lot of work done to it.
No offense to the seller, but if the car was sitting up on jack stands in a nice clean garage with a black and white checkerboard floor, then maybe. The environment that the car is in just further compounds my skepticism.

LOL! Finally, someone speaks-up. I hate this!
