Default '72 Interior Light Switch

Hey Guys and Gals!! I need to replace both interior light switches in the forward door jambs of the 72. The interior is completly gutted, and I noticed the drivers side has two leads/two connections on switch going to it, and the passenger side has one. AIM confirms this too. I bought the switches, and found both only have one connection. I know they are not door ajar switches. What are the two leads on the drivers side??? I'm at work and can't hang to reply right away...so thanks to all

Let's see if I can explain this clearly. The wires to the door jamb switches are hot, carrying +12v at all times. The primary wire runs through the bulb sockets and to the drivers side switch, and then the second wire connects the drivers side switch to the passenger side switch. The switch itself turns the lights on by grounding itself when the plunger comes "out" with the door opened. This allows the current to flow to ground, and since the bulbs are now in a closed circuit, viola, Let There Be Light! :D

The second wire on the drivers side (black on my '73) is for the key buzzer warning, as in
if you open the drivers door with the key in, the buzzer will sound.
Hope this helps.
