rebuild windshield wiper door assembly
I am rebuilding the windshield wiper door in my 69. The main rod connecting the left and right side of the assembly is welded. Can I simply grind off this weld to replace the bushing and re-weld? Isn't that the standard protocl for rebuilding this part?

That is some great "outside-the-box" thinking! I'm not bad at it, but I was locking into the best way to grind, or cut off/ the end ---- and this is much more brilliant and EASY!!
