tranny swap
looking to replace my tired l46 with a crate motor this Spring. I was wondering what was involved in changing from auto to stock 4 speed . Anyone make a kit for this swap? Thanks in advance Craig

Never done the swap, but I suspect one of the bigger problems will be the pedal box under the dash. I'm not 100% sure, but I bet the boxes are different for one with 2 pedals instead of one. If you can find the parts changing them may not be a real big deal. The frame side bracket for the z-bar is available as a bolt on IIRC.

This is the best bet. If you switch from auto to manual it could slowly add up to this price range anyway, not just in trransmission and clutch parts, but because of the rear differential gearing and wanting to change it a lower ratio because autos generally had higher ratios..
