Geoff1340,
Can you give me some more info on the Kenwood you bought from Crutchfield? Can you connect a CD changer to it? Do you have the part # handy you could give me?
Thanks,
Steve
My amp is sitting in the box in the right compartment. It is also an Alpine product and it is stowed away nicly. The box is not that flimsy cardboard unit but the hi-impact plastic one in Ecklers. All the wire bundle comes from under where the jack is stored in a loom and under tha amp placed on rubber bushings. Very slick and clean setup. The box is from Ecklers and is ported with 2 4-way Boston Acoustic 6x9s which have as much bass as some 8" subs I've had. Still room for T-tops etc etc.
David,
What size of amp are you using? Are you pushing your Boston Acoustic's to the max? I am also going to buy 6x9's but have not chosen any yet. I am leaning towards BC's, but $$$$.
150watt, 2 channel. This is a clean system so I do not need 5000 WATTS. Good sterio components are more efficient thus require less power. My Alpine/ Boston Acoustic system pumps more decibels than my buddies 500wattt system and he's using mostly Pioneer/ kicker components.

I agree, I am not looking for major wattage, but I don't want to have top of the line speakers and not be able to supply them the power they need to be effective.
