clam shell seats in a 78 corvette
Hi I have a 78 corvette . I bought a set of clam shell seats. My question is do I use my seat tracks from the 78 or do I use the 79-82 manual seat tracks? I don't want to modify anything.

Friend did this to his 78 and used 1980 seats. Bolted in with their tracks. The only problem he ran into was that the new seat raises the height of the seat bottom and since he does not have a tilt steering column his legs hit the bottom of the steering wheel.

Didn't the New style seats first make there appearance in the 1978 Pace Car ? Since there were few interior changes in the 78-82 era I would think the Seat Tracks would be the same. If not, I would use the ones on the seats they came with. They certainly didn't change the Floor Pan or mounting locations.
