Dumb question about measuring BB bore size.
If I were to take a measuring tape and measure the bore size of a 454 what should the tape read. I know probably a dumb question :yesnod: but humor me please. :crazy: :cheers:

Thanks I almost to embarrassed to admit why I asked this question :bb I must have been half asleep but I went outside and was looking at my 454 block that I just put on the engine stand tonight and was trying to figure out everything that I needed to do to it prior to going to the machine shop. Just for the heck of it I decided to measure the cylinder bore, Not being to good at figering at 10 o'clock at night I mis read the tape and thought that it said 4 1/2 :eek: After worrying about it and posting the question I waited anxiously for a reply. When I saw 4 1/4 I thought NOOOOOOOOOO :cry I went and re measured and am pleased to admit that it was stupidity on my part :crazy: :smash: :yesnod: All is well thanks for the reply. :cheers:
