Orange Vettes check in!
Haven't done this in a while and I've noticed some new ones are on the forum. Sig pics are welcome! Anyone with artistic skills, it would be great if someone could come up with a custom avitar and a name. Don't be shy, lets see how many we have out there!
I thought of posting a dup of this on the C5 forum just to see how much flaming and :U I would get since they seem to hate orange with a passion over there! :conehead :jester

I wouldn't recommend that Mark. Let's not antagonize fellow Vette enthusiasts.
My Vette is metallic dark orange. Originally, it was Corvette Bronze, which is a shade of orange. It was almost copper colored. But sometime in its past, it was repainted. The closest I can determine is that it's a dark orange. The interior is dark orange.
There is one other member that I can think of. I think he goes by "79ProwlerOrange". That's a beautiful shade of orange!!! He's been wanting to repaint it black, but I'm trying to talk him out of it.

Since Momo broght up the color bronze, I thought I would throw this pic in. Here's a pic with my Ontario Orange 71 and Terry's Bronze 68. In the right lighting, the colors are much closer than you would think.

Flame Orange '75 Checking in!
I contacted Sensei Earl about the Orange Vettes Avatar about a month ago. He gave me permission to create one. I began to work on it but did not have the time to create something that I thought was worthy of our gorgeous Vettes. Maybe I'll recommit some time to it since I hear there is an interest.
By the way, my Avatar was named "Orgasmic Orange Vettes" :cheers:

Cajun, I absolutely love your Orange C3.
MRKLN's C5 is amazing!! He posted a series of threads showing the progress of his transformation to the Pearl Metallic Orange (Lamborgini paint code). It's absolutely beautiful. I am now using a picture of his Vette as my desktop wallpaper. :D

mine is a corvette orange 77 L-82. still pretty much stock (some mutant decided to take off the L-82 valve covers and put on some thin and cheap chrome ones) i have a set of 78 pace car seats to be reupholstered and go in. As for those of you that have the red, black, silver and white vettes, Ya'll dont quite understand the feeling involved with us that have the different colors, the yellow, orange and other colors just dont get the respect that we deserve, IMHO. :flag NON COMMON COLORS ARE :cool:
