Default 1981 power steering pressure hose

Hey guys,
I have a 1981 corvette 350 stock. I’m replacing my power steering pump and hoses because of leaks. My question is the stock power steering pressure hose that connects to the power steering pump has an ‘o’ring and the replacement that came from a corvette parts vendor doesn’t, the information for the hoses designate they are for 80-82 . When I contacted the vendor their response was they never heard of a ‘o’ ring on the hose. I did notice that the original hose with the ‘o’ring has a different end on the tube then the replacement. Can I assume that the hoses have been updated and this is the new version, are they interchangeable?
Thank you for all your help.

Hose from vendor specifically for 1980-1982

The 1980-1982 cars used an o-ring on the hose... this is why the hose kit was different from that of the 1963-1979 cars... The hose was different and yes... you'll need an o-ring. it looks like they sold you the correct hose... they just don't know there should have been an o-ring.. It's a standard ring that you can get from your local parts store.

Default 1975 Corvette

I am doing the same thing with my 1975 corvette. The remanufactured pump came with the reservoir and pump. All I need to do is transfer the pulley etc…. My question is that my pump came with two O rings. A small one and a larger one. I have no clue where to put them. When I took off the old pump and hoses, there didn’t appear to be any Orings on my original one. Are they needed?

OK. So you decide to tack onto a thread from 2019 about an 80 -82 pump hose issue to ask about your 75.
At least you picked one that had something to do with power steering, I'll give you that.
Always start a new thread with your new question.
Always!
I have a 77. I've repaired my power steering many times over the years. Same system as your 75.
But I'll wait for you to start a thread asking about your problem.
This thread is about an O ring on a later cars hose.
And it was answered 2 and a half years ago
Oh, And welcome to the Forum . you'll get the hang of it and there's a Ton of good information on here.
