never have i oiled a frame but i have undercoated many . nothing beats that fresh look of a newly undercoated car . cant imagine the oil would stay on the car when being driven , wouldnt it leak onto the floor for some really nasty stains ?

Invest in some POR15 or so. Even stuff like Tectyl underbody couating doesn't stay on very long.

Oil won't help you much.
