Default electric fan switch/relay missing?

So I'm told these wires should go to a switch or relay for my fan - possibly in the head, like for the temp. gauge?...or would it be some other type..
.anyone have pics of one, or theirs hooked up like it should be.... for a '79 L-82...

black and blue mystery wires..fan related?

In the Pass side head should look like this,

Thank you - that makes sense - I was only finding single prong ones for the temp. gauge.
It looks like it never had one from this pic - the pipe plug is where it should be and it's engine colored.
Well I'll get one of those, and move on to the next issue.

best I could get of the starter connections by crawling under it. see the pipe plug in the head.

that will never let the fan turn off with anything other than a 160 degree tstat

I understand that - seen other ones that come on at 200, off at 185.

that will require a 180* tstat..stock tstat is 195 so you would need it to come on at like 210 and off and 195/200 for the fan to actually shut off.

I am using a 180* T-Stat and the fans on my car cycle on and off just fine on 110* weather. The OEM switch came on at 220* and turned off at 195*.

Wanted to let you guys know I got ths figured out now - the sensor was removed because there was a power draw issue.
The previous owner just started unhooking things trying to find the source - he never did - to his loss because I have.
Thank you again!
