'68 Factory Alarm?
I've got two switches on both doors, and none on the hood.
From what I've read here, sounds like one set is for the door ajar light, which works.
Unsure about the other pair? Factory alarm? Something aftermarket someone added later?
Did Factory Alarm include a hood switch?

Alarm would have switch for hood, and would have keyed switch above the Corvette letters along the back.
The switches on the body at rear corners of doors are door ajar switches. The ones on the body at the front of the door are for the courtesy lights.

The switches in the hinge (front) are for the courtesy lights and the left switch will have one more wire for the 'key left in ignition' buzzer.
The rear switches are for the 'door ajar' and 'alarm' wires.
Yes, you should have one more alarm switch near the wiper motor.

Do you have the alarm key switch on the back of the car above the word CORVETTE?

Here is a photo of the rear of my 73's factory alarm switch.
Your's should be in the same location if you have the factory alarm option.

I had a convertible Triumph TR-6 with a keyswitch like that in the fender, in front of the driver door.
I never locked the doors because they'd just slit the top if they wanted in.
The keyswitch just changed the alarm from INSTANT to 30 second delay, so I could get in the car and flip the hidden switch.
If some thief ripped the keyswitch out with a slide hammer they still couldn't defeat the alarm by opening the circuit.
Five years, and never had the car broken into, top slit, etc despite having a nice stereo. Alarm went off now and then but by the time I got out there.... nothing.
I may wire up my Vette the same way.

HI. I have a 69 with the factory installed alarm. The alarm is set off by the two switches at the front of the door frame ( same ones that are for the courtesy lights ) and the switch on the right side under the hood.

I'm trying to figure out my 68 Convertible alarm system too. My key switch is by the drivers door !!! And there isn't a relay or a flasher in the jack compartment. I found it in the AIM but it doesn't show the wire colors !!!

It wasn’t until after I removed the seats and pulled the liner from the jack compartment that I noticed the relay and flasher tucked tight against the back of the bulkhead down in a corner.
Even with the seats out they were hard to see.
